Stars Suffer 3-2 Home Loss
|
Taylor Motyl, who is tied for 4th in the NC in wins with 7, had a strong outing for the San Diego Fleet against the Hollywood Stars at Hollywood Grounds. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 3-2 win. San Diego now owns a record of 41-24.
San Diego used a clutch hit from Matt Rock to get the win. The third baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Fleet ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a doozy.
After the game, San Diego manager Brian Burnett applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
