The Dallas Dragons went home winners at Tennant Healthcare Ballpark, thanks in large part to starter Victor Figueroa. Figueroa stifled the Austin Desperados, enabling Dallas to grab the 3-1 win. The winning pitcher was Figueroa, now 7-2. He tossed 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 5. Mike Braasch picked up his 8th save of the season.

The Dragons prevailed in a game in which the pitchers had the upper hand.

"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Figueroa.

Dallas is now 37-28, Austin 30-35.
