Vancouver Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
Josh Elder helped his team muscle past the San Francisco Fire, 10-6. In the game, the Vancouver catcher went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times. Vancouver reliever Jim Grabowsky snagged the win, upping his record to 2-0. Marcos Rosas shouldered the loss. The victory gives Vancouver a record of 36-29.
Vancouver got a clutch hit from Richard Ulmer. The designated hitter launched a grand slam home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.
"We take it day by day here," said Elder, "and today was a good one for us."
