Caribou Rally to Eke Out Win
The Vancouver Caribou downed the San Francisco Fire, 7-6, in 10 innings. Mark Riley led the way, going 1-for-1 for Vancouver. The win was credited to Tom Thompson in relief. His record improves to 3-3. Jon Messer took the loss. The Caribou raised their record to 26-39.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Vancouver. That's when 27-year old first baseman Richard Ulmer hit a solo home run off Jon Messer to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Ulmer.
