The London Tigers knocked off the Augusta Capitols, 2-1, in Western AA action at The Capitol Dome. London pitcher and Tri-Lakes, Indiana, native Steve Pikula had an outstanding performance. Pikula, now 6-0, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 8, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. Jadon Bernard was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 7 of 7 save opportunities.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Richard Childs? The 25-year old left fielder Childs stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put London up, 2-0. For the game, he was 2 for 3, including 1 double and 1 single.
