In a low-scoring affair between the Sonoma Scorpions and the Hamilton Bulldogs, pitcher Rob Stech was the difference between victory and defeat. The Sonoma right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-2 Scorpions win. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Scorpions.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Sonoma. That's when 24-year old left fielder Mike Gallant hit a run-scoring double off Dave Combs to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"We did enough to win," said Gallant.
