The Augusta Capitols licked the Miami Boll Weevils, 8-1. Kevin Cremo deserved a big chunk of the credit. The second baseman was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Capitols. The victory gives the Capitols a record of 50-41.

With Augusta leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Cremo hit a fastball from Joe Underwood for a 2-run home run. It was his 11th home run of the season and put the Capitols ahead, 3-0.

"We were able to put some good swings on some pitches," Cremo told the Augusta Herald.
