Capitols Take Down Boll Weevils, 4-2

The Augusta Capitols beat the Miami Boll Weevils, 4-2, in 10 innings. Augusta pitcher and Jersey City, New Jersey, native Mike Reich led the way. Augusta pitcher Matt Schmidt earned the win, hiking his record to 5-4. Brent Kuest suffered the loss. Augusta bumps their record to 54-38 with the win.
Kevin Cremo provided a timely hit. The Augusta second baseman delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the tenth inning to put the Capitols on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.
"Our team showed some spunk," said Reich.
