Milkmen Drop Bombardiers, 4-1, with Late Score
|
Vermont Milkmen starter Vicente Perez led his team to victory over the Cincinnati Bombardiers, 4-1. The right-hander was locked-in. Picking up the save was Manuel Angloma. He's now 15 for 17 in save chances. The 4th-place Milkmen now sit at 44-47.
Craig Kelley, who is tied for 2nd in the W-AA in bases on balls with 49, had a direct impact on the outcome. Kelley contributed a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put Vermont up, 4-1.
"I'm just trying to make sure I'm focused for each and every pitch," said Perez.
