Bombardiers Suffer 10-5 Loss to Bulldogs
|
Hamilton Bulldogs starter Richard Alter pitched a strong game against the Cincinnati Bombardiers at Mariachis Ballpark, leading the Bulldogs to victory, 10-5. The Bulldogs now own a record of 57-34.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, the Bulldogs grabbed the lead when Phil McBreen rapped a two-out single. Hamilton was trailing 5-4, when McBreen hit a 2-run single off Bill Samples to put his team in front, 6-5.
"Richard throwing strikes, pounding the zone, that is exactly what you want to see," said Hamilton manager Tony Velez.
