The Cornwall Royals cut down the Sonoma Scorpions by the score of 7-5, with the largest share of the credit going to third baseman Ross Myer. Myer belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4 for the Royals. The triumph puts Cornwall at 47-43 for the season.

Myer had a game-changing double in the bottom of the eighth. On a first pitch cutter from Mauricio Martinez, he banged a 2-run double to right, giving the Royals a 7-5 lead. It was the 5th double of the year for Myer.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Myer.
