Tight Tilt Goes to Ragin Cajuns, 4-3
|
Matt Hanna, who is tied for 5th in the W-AA in wins with 8, was locked in. The right-hander led the Stockton Ragin Cajuns to a 4-3 win against the Vail Tigercats at Ballpark of Stockton. Stockton reliever Dave Barncord picked up the win, upping his record to 4-2. Carlos Mendez was saddled with the loss. Jeff Bidwell earned save number 5 this season.
Devin Lepp hit a 2-run double off Carlos Mendez in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Ragin Cajuns in front, 3-1. In addition to the double, Lepp had 2 singles, while going 3 for 4.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Stockton manager Jeffrey Troke.
The second-place Ragin Cajuns go to 59-33.
