Stockton designated hitter Chris Roberts had a 7-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Vail Tigercats, 7-3. After today's action, Stockton sits at 57-33; Vail slips to 45-45.

Roberts contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Stockton in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 3-2, Roberts took a fastball from Mike Redmond and stroked the home run to left. His 17th home run of the season allowed the Ragin Cajuns to leap in front, 5-3.

"Enjoyed this one," Roberts told the Stockton Gazette. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
