Cavalry Bridle Bombardiers, 4-2
|
St. Louis pitcher John Bonnell did his part in helping his team defeat the Cincinnati Bombardiers, 4-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Andrew Braden, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. The Bombardiers, now 48-42, have lost 4 straight.
St. Louis took a 4-1 lead on John Casbon's 1st double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Casbon hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Cincinnati pitcher Gabriel Huey visibly frustrated.
"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Casbon told the St. Louis Today.
