The home crowd had a good time watching the Augusta Capitols and Vail Tigercats get after it.

Due in large part to second baseman Ken Hippler, the Vail Tigercats sunk the Augusta Capitols, 8-4. Hippler was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The win went to Mike Brown in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Paul Williamson took the loss.

Jake Myers broke a 4-4 tie in the bottom of the eighth with a run-scoring walk. It put the Tigercats in front, 5-4. For the game, Myers drew 1 walk in his only trip to the plate.

"It's always extra special to win at home," said Hippler.

Today's win puts Vail at 46-41, while Augusta falls to 51-36.
