Boll Weevils Lose 7-4 Decision to Sonoma
The Sonoma Scorpions overcame a pretty good performance by Miami catcher John Bole, beating the Boll Weevils, 7-4, at Ballpark of Miami. Bole hit 2 home runs. Steve Shewmaker earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. His record is now 1-0. The Scorpions now have a record of 47-42.

The Scorpions got a big at-bat from left fielder Joe Orr, who in the top of the fourth hit a 2-run double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Scorpions on top, 5-0.

"The most important thing is that we won," Orr said.
