Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Cornwall Royals and Miami Boll Weevils.

The Cornwall Royals got a stellar performance from pitcher Dan Toigo, who handcuffed the Miami offense en route to a win, 5-1, at King George Park. The Royals improved their record to 51-37 with the win over Miami.

The Royals got a big hit from left fielder Tom Coon. Facing Miami pitcher Jon Caruso in the bottom of the sixth, Coon pounded a run-scoring double to right. His 1st double of the season put the Royals ahead, 2-0.

Cornwall manager Keith Young called it "a good, solid win."
