Ragin Cajuns Come Up Short at Vermont, 3-2
|
The Vermont Milkmen earned a close win over the Stockton Ragin Cajuns, thanks in part to Daniel Williams. The Vermont right-hander, who is tied for 4th in the W-AA in innings pitched with 115.0, played a key role in the 3-2 victory. The winner was Morgan Felty in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Oscar Casas took the loss. Earning his 13th save for Vermont was Manuel Angloma.
Joe Pettit, who is tied for 9th in the W-AA in home runs with 14, chipped in a run-scoring single for Vermont in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"We just didn't score enough runs to win," said Stockton manager Jeffrey Troke.
The loss makes Stockton 37-52.
