The Sonoma Scorpions took London pitcher Scott Staffieri's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Ballpark of North Richland Hills. The final score had Sonoma getting past the Tigers, 5-4. Staffieri went 7.1 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 5. Shissho Matsuno, now 4-5, was credited with the win in 1 innings of relief. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit, while striking out 0 and walking 0. The Scorpions, at 49-35, sit in third place in the Western AA Central Division.

Sonoma took a 5-4 lead on Omar Perez's 5th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Perez hit in the bottom of the eighth, left London pitcher Jimmy Guyton visibly frustrated.
