The Augusta Capitols beat the Vail Tigercats by a score of 5-1. Augusta designated hitter Bryan Langel deserved the lion's share of the credit. Langel went 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Capitols. The Capitols now have a record of 43-41.

Had Langel not come through in the top of the eighth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Langel hit a 2-run home run. The Capitols took the lead, 3-1, and never looked back.
