The London Tigers beat the Hialeah Firecats, 8-5, at Ballpark of Oklahoma City. London right fielder Angel Lujan had an outstanding performance. He was 2-3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Ken Bixby earned the win for London. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 5 runs on 11 hits, while striking out 8. With the win, he raised his record to 6-10. Hialeah has now lost 6 consecutive games.

Bill Demers had a big 3-run home run for the Tigers in the bottom of the first inning. With London trailing 2-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he sized up a sinker from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Dustin Richards and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Tigers on top, 3-2.
