Bombardiers Score Late, Stun Tigercats, 4-1
|
Vail got a big-time effort from pitcher Derek Sigers, but it wasn't enough to keep the Cincinnati Bombardiers from winning the game, 4-1. Sigers threw 7.1 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. The 5th-place Bombardiers are 35-50.
Damien Przybylski, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2022 draft, had a direct impact on the outcome. Przybylski contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the ninth inning to put Cincinnati up, 2-1.
"Makes our job easier," said Przybylski, "when our pitchers shut the opposition down."
