Dunn Now 5-8 Following 4-0 Win
|
The Cincinnati Bombardiers got a marvelous performance from pitcher Steve Dunn. The right-hander kept the Vail offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 4-0 Cincinnati victory at Vail Grounds. Heath Johnston earned the save for Cincinnati, his 4th of the year. The Bombardiers improved their record to 34-50 with the win over Vail.
Dunn, who dominated for Cincinnati, earned the victory to move to 5-8. He was in control the whole game, scattering 2 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 6. Vail batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
Dunn called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
