The Cornwall Royals bumped off the Sonoma Scorpions, 10-6, at King George Park. Felipe Marquez hit 1 single and 2 doubles. He also had 3 RBI. Cornwall reliever Travis Espinoza picked up the win, raising his record to 1-1. Jose Ceballos was tagged with the loss. Cornwall, at 50-32, holds down third place in the Western AA Central Division.

Marquez had a key at-bat for Cornwall in the bottom of the second. With the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run double. It was his 11th double of the season and gave Cornwall an early 3-1 lead.

"I still think this team can play even better," Marquez told the Cornwall Gazette.
