Big Day for Solid as Cavalry Down Firecats, 12-4
The St. Louis Cavalry marched over the Hialeah Firecats, 12-4, at Cavalry Ballpark. Justin Solid led the charge. He went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 5. Adam Appelbaum earned the win for St. Louis. He lasted 8 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 7. With the win, he raised his record to 2-3. The Cavalry go to 25-56, putting them last in the Western AA Central Division.

With St. Louis leading 2-1 in the bottom of the second, Solid came up to bat against Hialeah pitcher Bob Paterson. Solid hit a cutter to left for a 3-run home run. His 7th home run of the season put the Cavalry on top, 5-1.

"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," Solid told the St. Louis Daily News.
