The Cornwall Royals could not turn a fine performance from left fielder Mike Bolden into a win. Instead, the Vermont Milkmen prevailed, 6-4. Bolden was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Picking up the win was Vicente Perez. He went 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits. The right--hander struck out 2 and walked 4. The Milkmen improved their record to 37-45 with the win over Cornwall.

Andrew Flynn took Cornwall hurler Dave Kramer deep in the bottom of the fourth. His 2-run home run put the Milkmen on top, 3-1. In all, Flynn had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
