The New York Nightmare beat the Cleveland Brawlers, 12-2, at Nightmare Stadium. New York left fielder Ben Callahan had an outstanding performance. He hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 6. New York pitcher Jose Contreras earned the win, hiking his record to 7-3. Andres Moran suffered the loss. The Nightmare raised their record to 26-38.
With New York leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Callahan hit a curveball from Andres Moran for a 3-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Nightmare ahead, 4-0.
"You need to show up when your number's called," said Callahan.
