Plascencia Hits 2 home runs in Tigercats Win
|
The Vail Tigercats handed the Vermont Milkmen a 6-4 defeat at Emeralds Ballpark. First Baseman Ricky Plascencia starred for Vail. He was 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Vail pitcher Justin Schatzle got the win, upping his record to 3-0. Brian Webb got the loss. Justin Brownlee notched his 4th save in 4 chances.
Ammar bin Imran chipped in for Vail, stroking a crucial run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning. For the game, the catcher went 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while scoring 2.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Plascencia.
The Vail win streak is now 5 games.
