Pinion Deals Augusta 7-1 Setback

Augusta had no answer for Cincinnati Bombardiers starter Mike Pinion, who flummoxed Capitols hitters as the Bombardiers cruised to victory, 7-1. Lance Goecker recorded the save, his 1st. The win has Cincinnati at 31-52.
Pinion made it look effortless. He scattered 3 hits over 7 innings, while racking up 9 strikeouts. The Cincinnati right-hander encountered little resistance from the Augusta hitters. His season record is now 4-5.
"What can you say about Mike?" said Cincinnati manager Carlos Almendarez. "He was pretty incredible."
