Firecats Top Milkmen, 4-3
|
The Hialeah Firecats beat the Vermont Milkmen, 4-3, in 13 innings. Hialeah pitcher and CarĂºpano, Venezuela, native Juan Rincon led the way. The Firecats saw their win-loss record go to 21-60. At the same time, the Milkmen fell to 36-45.
In the top of the 13th, Hialeah got a clutch hit from Chris Gaus. The second baseman belted a solo home run, putting the Firecats up, 4-3. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a decisive one.
