Capitols Snatch Late-Game, 7-6 Win
Augusta beat Hialeah at Firecats Ballpark, escaping with a 7-6 win in 10 innings. The win in large part was due to center fielder Adam Larson. He went 3-5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. Reliever Colby Heim picked up the win. His record improves to 2-4. Darius Timmons took the loss. Steve Ray, credited with the save, is now 1 for 2 in save opportunities.

Left Fielder Nick Owens made an impact for Augusta, when he swatted a 3-run home run off Gerardo Matute in the top of the fifth. For the contest, Owens was 1-5 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Owens.

With the win over Hialeah, the Capitols improved to 40-39.
