Tigers Send Cornwall Home with 4-1 Loss
|
Alberto Torres was a major factor in the 4-1 London win over Cornwall. The Tigers right fielder went 2-4 with 2 singles. Reliever Dave Anderson picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. David Tirado, who leads the W-AA with a 1.72 ERA, took the loss. Bobby Hardy was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 5 of 8 save opportunities.
Eric Stogdill helped out the London cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the third baseman went 1 for 3 with a walk.
Stogdill called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
