Milkmen Dealt 4-1 Loss by Cornwall
|
Cornwall pitcher Mike Revell had a large part in his team beating the Vermont Milkmen, 4-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Kelly Powell recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 13 for 15. The Cornwall win streak is now 3 games.
Jaime Tate had a big 2-run home run for the Royals in the bottom of the third inning. With Cornwall leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a changeup from 21-year old left-handed pitcher Paul Birchfield and swatted a home run to left. It was his 14th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Royals ahead, 3-0.
"We take it day by day here," said Revell, "and today was a good one for us."
