Miami Dispatched, 10-8, by Stockton
|
The Stockton Ragin Cajuns beat the Miami Boll Weevils, 10-8, at Ballpark of Miami. Stockton third baseman Devin Terry had an outstanding performance. He went 2-4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Danny Pena picked up the win with 5.1 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 6 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 2. On the season, he is now 7-1. Ryan Robertson collected his 12th save.
Stockton used a well-timed hit by Nick Bigelow to capture the win. The catcher socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Ragin Cajuns ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Bigelow said.
The win elevated the Ragin Cajuns to 39-36.
