Scorpions Snatch Late-Game, 2-1 Win
The Sonoma Scorpions picked up a win at Ballpark of North Richland Hills, dropping the Hialeah Firecats, 2-1. Jose Ceballos, who leads the W-AA with a 0.97 WHIP, was the difference-maker. Sonoma reliever Jim Hart picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Armando Sanchez took the loss. Donovan March, credited with the save, is now 2 for 4 in save opportunities.

Had Dave Pimenta not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Pimenta hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Scorpions.

"Both teams played hard," said Sonoma manager Keith Young.

By defeating Hialeah, the second-place Scorpions improved to 40-35.
