In a low-scoring tilt between the Cornwall Royals and the Vail Tigercats, former first round draft pick Justin Hesley was the difference-maker. The Cornwall right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Now 50-26, Cornwall has won 11 consecutive games.

Batting in the bottom of the ninth, 23-year old shortstop Hector Robledo had a real shot to win the game. Vail pitcher Luke Walley was determined not to let it happen. But with two outs, Robledo hit a run-scoring single. The Royals had a walk-off triumph.

"I like how we're playing right now," said Hesley.
