The Cornwall Royals and Vail Tigercats completed their game despite the rain.

Brian Gay was superb against Vail. The left-hander, who is rated as the 38th best prospect by BNN, had a sinker that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Royals victory. The score was 5-2. Cornwall is now 42-31.

Gay tossed 101 pitches over 7.1 innings to clinch the win for the Royals. The left-hander allowed just 2 hits, while racking up 10 strikeouts in the game.

"I had pretty good command out there," said Gay.
