Fire Deal Vancouver 3-0 Defeat
|
The Vancouver Caribou went down to defeat to Josh Flaten and his San Francisco teammates. The final score was 3-0, in favor of the Fire. Flaten yielded no runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 5-2. San Francisco is now 22-42, while Vancouver is 25-39.
Dan Brewer came through with a big-time hit for San Francisco. The left fielder smacked a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 1-0. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said San Francisco manager Zach Freeman.
