Bombardiers Snag 6-3 Win
|
The Hialeah Firecats got a sterling performance from pitcher Matt Sandridge, but the Cincinnati Bombardiers still prevailed, 6-3. Sandridge threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. Cincinnati reliever Clark Estes picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Jesse Tuuri absorbed the loss. Cincinnati now has a record of 36-36 with the win.
Cincinnati won the game in part because of Dylan Waters. The shortstop ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Bombardiers ahead, 6-3. For the game, Waters had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Waters said.
