Scorpions Pull Off Thrilling 15-9 Win in Extras
Fans who congregated at Ballpark of Cincinnati were treated to extra-inning drama.

The Sonoma Scorpions topped the Cincinnati Bombardiers, 15-9, with youngster Ernesto Castillo playing a key role. Castillo hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 4 for the Scorpions in the win. The win was credited to Mike Arnerich in relief. His record improves to 4-0. Jose Perez took the loss.

In the top of the seventh, the Scorpions grabbed the lead when Castillo hit his 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run off Bobby Fawbush made it 8-7, Sonoma.

"It was great to come out and swing the bats," Castillo told the Sonoma Gazette.

The first-place Bombardiers now sit at 41-33.
