Firecats Ballpark was the site of a competitive game between the Hialeah Firecats and Hamilton Bulldogs.

Hamilton pitcher Jon Escobar had a large part in his team beating the Hialeah Firecats, 5-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Ryan Middaugh sewed up the save, his 2nd.

Hamilton used the hitting of Nick Nunley to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Bulldogs on top, 4-1. For the game, Nunley had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

"Jon works, he fights, and he keeps a good attitude," said Bulldogs manager Emmanuel Montano.

Hamilton has now won 4 games in a row.
