Royals Earn Late Win
The Cornwall Royals, with some walk-off drama, delighted their fans at King George Park.

Augusta got a terrific performance from pitcher Tom Donnelly, but it wasn't enough to beat the Cornwall Royals. Cornwall won the King George Park contest, 3-2. Donnelly threw 8.2 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. The victory gives Cornwall a record of 43-27.

Up to bat in the bottom of the ninth, 25-year old shortstop Sean Trahan had a chance to be the hero. Augusta pitcher Tom Donnelly had other ideas. But with one out, Trahan hit a sacrifice fly. The Royals had themselves a dramatic win.

"We couldn't have scripted it any better," Trahan said in his postgame press conference.
