Scorpions Get Better of Bulldogs, 5-3
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Sonoma Scorpions and Hamilton Bulldogs.
The Sonoma Scorpions overcame a good performance by Hamilton designated hitter Jay Robinson to knock off Hamilton, 5-3, at Ballpark of North Richland Hills. Robinson went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2. The Scorpions go to 47-22, putting them first in the Western AA Coastal Division.
Sonoma took the lead, 5-3, on Eric Bradstreet's 11th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Hamilton pitcher Blake Ware in the bottom of the seventh.
Sonoma manager Keith Young called it "a darn good win."
