Firecats Held in Check by Tigers, Lose, 4-1
|
George Robertson never let Hialeah get something going. The London left-hander commanded his forkball in pitching the Tigers to a 4-1 win. Robertson yielded no runs over 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 3, and struck out 5. His record improves to 5-2. Bobby Hardy notched his 3rd save in 6 chances.
The Tigers got a big at-bat from center fielder Randy Bunn. For the game, Bunn went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 11th home run of the season gave London a 3-0 lead.
Said Hialeah manager John Costa: "Different day, same result."
The 4th-place Firecats have lost 6 consecutive games.
