Vermont turned a good effort from starter Oscar Lopez into a win over the Hamilton Bulldogs at Mariachis Ballpark. The final score was 4-0. Lopez, now 1-0, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 0, walking 3, and allowing no runs.

Seth Gosselin had a direct impact on the outcome. Gosselin contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put Vermont up, 2-0.
