The Vermont Milkmen used the hitting of designated hitter Doug Joseph to subdue the Hamilton Bulldogs, 6-4. For the game, Joseph went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. Their 29-37 record puts the Milkmen 4th in the Western AA Coastal Division.
Had Dan Conde not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Conde hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Milkmen.
"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Joseph.
