Milkmen Take Down Royals, 5-3
Vermont starter Nate Benson pitched well against the Cornwall Royals at King George Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-3. D.J. Elliott notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.2 innings. His record now sits at 1-0. T.J. Hoffarth closed the door for Vermont, picking up his 1st save of the year.

Vermont used the timely hitting of Jake Brosius to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 14th inning to put the Milkmen on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Our team showed some spunk," said Brosius.

Their 25-43 record puts the Milkmen 5th in the Western AA Coastal Division.
