Scorpions Deal Bombardiers 8-5 Loss
|
Sonoma took on Cincinnati in front of a lively crowd.
The Sonoma Scorpions saddled the Cincinnati Bombardiers with a loss at Ballpark of Cincinnati. The final score was 8-5. Jaiden Jones was 2 for 4, including 1 single and 1 home run. The Sonoma left fielder scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Dan Toigo picked up the win, lifting his record to 6-5 on the season. He struck out 5 and walked 3 in 6 innings, while yielding 3 runs. The save was credited to Jeremiah Porter, his 2nd.
Sonoma got a big at-bat from Aurora, Colorado native Tim Myers, who in the top of the first hit a 2-run triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Scorpions ahead, 3-0.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Keith Young said.
The Scorpions sport a record of 46-22.
