Starting pitcher Steve Oswald gave the Sonoma Scorpions a rock-solid effort. The East Haddam, Connecticut native helped his team defeat the London Tigers, 3-2, at Ballpark of North Richland Hills. Jason Burget picked up the save for Sonoma, his 12th of the year. The Western AA Coastal Division-leading Scorpions are 37-29.

Oswald scattered 5 hits over 8 innings for the Scorpions. With the win, Oswald goes to 7-2 on the year with 69 strikeouts.

"Steve did a good job of managing their lineup," said Sonoma manager Keith Young.
