The Cornwall Royals weathered a fine game by Stockton designated hitter Ernesto Castillo to upend the Ragin Cajuns, 5-4, at Ballpark of Stockton. Castillo was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Cornwall pitcher Kyle Thompson got the win. He's now 1-0. Gregorio Argueta was tagged with the loss. Kelly Powell recorded the save, his 10th.

Jaime Tate, who is tied for 8th in the W-AA in RBI with 39, took Stockton hurler Gregorio Argueta deep in the top of the fourth. His 3-run home run put the Royals on top, 5-3. In all, Tate had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.

"I was a little disappointed," said Stockton manager Jeffrey Troke. "We could've and should've scored more runs."

With the win, Cornwall upped its record to 42-26.
