Simister Helps Milkmen Win, 10-5, with Pair of Homers
|
Paul Simister was a vital contributor to the 10-5 Vermont victory over Hialeah. The Milkmen catcher hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. Ray Sauer came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-2. Vermont, with the win, sits at 21-43.
Brian Brockman had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the second for Vermont. With the bases loaded and the Milkmen leading 2-1, he grounded out, driving in 1 run.
"I give credit to my teammates for this win. We got it done," Brockman told the Vermont Herald.
