The home crowd had a good time watching the Vermont Milkmen and Hialeah Firecats get after it.

The Hialeah Firecats picked up a win at Firecats Ballpark, topping the Vermont Milkmen, 9-0. On the mound for Hialeah was right-hander Joey Russak. He played a principal role in the triumph. Vermont is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 6 in a row.

The Milkmen had trouble solving Russak, who surrendered no runs on 4 hits over 8 innings.

"I'm happy we won," said Russak. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
